Café de Boston

Before I left on my trip to Vegas I got invited by Amanda of Marlo Marketing to visit Café de Boston and check out what makes this “market eatery” such a popular dining spot in Boston’s Financial District.

If you are wondering what a “market eatery” is think fast and casual with a mix of made-to-order and take-out menu options. With plenty of seating and fast moving lines it is the perfect mix of everything you could want or need for breakfast or lunch.

Not sure what you are in the mood to eat? Don’t worry, with over 100 menu items I am sure you will be able to find something to satisfy your hunger.

Stopping in for breakfast? Grab a coffee and hit up the breakfast self-serve station for some scrambled eggs, oatmeal, corned beef hash, homefries and pancakes or have a made-to-order omelette or breakfast sandwich with all of your favorite ingredients.

Need a grab and go lunch? Café de Boston offers a self-serve soup and salad bar as well as hot entree’s with international flair that change daily. If you have a little more time to spend visit the salad station where a Café de Boston employee will custom make you a salad featuring 2 proteins of your choice with unlimited toss-in items that include items such as artichokes, a variety of nuts and seeds, and even warm falafel! All of this comes with a large piece of pita bread and costs only $7.94 (plus tax). It is much cheaper than the other salad bar options in the area and the portion is huge.

Not in the mood for salad? Head over to the kebab and sandwich station for chicken, beef, or swordfish kebabs that are served in a wrap or on a plate with rice and salad. Here you can find all of your typical deli sandwich options as well as daily specials and burgers.

Still not what you want? How about pizza, pasta or crepes? Pizzas come in thin crust and thick Sicilian-style and you can buy by the slice or pie (they even have gluten free options). At the pasta station you can choose from options such as penne, linguine, whole wheat or tortellini to toss with tons of fresh vegetables, chicken or meatballs. Sauces include marinara, alfredo, primavera or basil pesto – you can mix and match to your liking as well. All are sprinkled with parmesan cheese and served with warm garlic bread. These pasta dishes can definitely feed you for two days worth of lunches.

If you still have room take a peek at the well stocked pastry case for cookies, croissants, cinnamon rolls, and baklava. There is even gelato available during the warmer months of the year. If it is cake you crave you can buy by the slice or take the entire cake in flavors such as Chocolate Truffle, Espresso Ganache and Citron Gateau.

During my visit and lunch with Amanda I tried the Hawaiian Peach Salad which is one of Café de Boston’s newest additions to the menu. It was SO good I ate it right up! My favorite part of it was the fresh peaches which added such a nice burst of flavor and the big pieces of all white meat chicken. It was a refreshing, light meal for a hot summer day that kept me full all afternoon.

You can order crepes both sweet and savory and watch as they are being cooked…try not to drool on the counter!

Since all of the food is prepared fresh daily if you pop in after 3pm all of the items on the hot entree and meze bar are 30% off to ensure freshness for the next day. It is a great option to pack up a take-home order for dinner later that night!

In addition to all of the goodness I just told you about, Café de Boston sells a wide variety of retail products such as nuts, dried fruit, granola, olive oils, teas and coffee.

Last, but not least, if you are looking for something different to cater a meal at your office or a party Café de Boston has you covered there as well. Set up your custom breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert order – available for pick-up or delivery.

Café de Boston accepts all major credit cards as well as LevelUp. If you pay with LevelUp you will receive $2.00 off your first order and 10% cash back when you spend $100.
