If you have been following along with me for the past 11 months you know how much the 21 Day Fix and Autumn Calabrese have changed my life.
I have never EVER been able to stick to a workout program from start to finish before and on top of that have seen the pounds and inches just melt away (goodbye 20lbs!!). All from 30 minute a day workouts and simple, clean, portion controlled eating. I am still not at my goal but it is progress, not perfection that I am striving for!
I am never starving because I learned I actually need to eat MORE each day to see results and to fuel my body to perform at it’s best. I have gotten so much inspiration to create new, clean eating recipes and I even still get to eat my favorite food – pasta! I even follow this nutrition plan when I complete other workout programs such as Insanity Max:30, PiYo and CIZE.
There is no better feeling than having complete strangers reach out to me on social media sharing pictures of my recipes that they have made and love.
And now Autumn has stepped it up another notch with the release of her cookbook FIXATE. Featuring 101 personal recipes that can be used alongside the 21 Day Fix portion control nutrition plan. Even if you are not doing the 21 Day Fix you can enjoy and cook from this cookbook because Autumn writes out each and every recipe, serving size and portion control container equivalents.
These aren’t boring boiled chicken and steamed veggie recipes! Think banana pancakes, stuffed crepes, chicken and waffles, macaroni and cheese, fajitas. There is even whole sections devoted to sauces, dressings and even desserts!
As you all know I am a huge fan of making poached eggs and when I go out to breakfast and want to splurge eggs benedict is usually high on the list of choices to order. I was so pumped to see that Autumn had a hollandaise recipe and that it used greek yogurt to make it.
I haven’t made hollandaise since college in my cooking class but earlier this week I whipped up a batch and was extremely happy with the results. I can’t believe it can taste just like the real deal you get in a restaurant and it fits within my eating plan!!
Try adding a dash of your favorite hot sauce on top too – game changer!
Brunch at my house just got taken up a notch!

Hey do you have an opinion on any exercise programs?
I have been thinking about buying the piyo workouts lately, BUT, after doing my homework a little and checking out other reviews, I’m 50/50 on what to do.
I’ve been reading this one at http://www.piyoreviews.com and she has a lot of great points.
Is PiYo really worth it? Or is it better to just do one of the original arts by itself like Yoga?
Hey Jenna! Thanks for your comment 🙂 I am going to email you to chat more about this so I can help you decide!
Thank You so Much Emily I really Appreciate you feedback 🙂 I need all the help I can get lol!
What do you count the Hollandaise sauce as? A tsp?
It is actually counted as an orange container. It is from the FIXATE cookbook!
