Crockpot Pumpkin Chili

November 13, 2018May 6, 2020 / Emily G. / Leave a comment

Its that time of year where everything and anything is pumpkin and I am totally ok with that. I love everything about the seasonal winter squash, especially cooking pumpkin seeds but since I live in a condo with no outdoor space of my own I can't carve and place out pumpkins for any sort of … Continue reading Crockpot Pumpkin Chili

I'm totally into any recipe where I can eat the bowl...   Bread Bowls Pineapple Bowls Parmesan Cheese Bowls Apple Bowls Bacon Bowls Chocolate Chip Cookie Bowls   ...I could go on forever. But I won't because getting you this recipe is TOP of my priority list. This was one of those impromptu recipes that … Continue reading American Chop Suey Stuffed Squash

Jalapeno Cheddar Beef Chop Suey

December 7, 2016April 29, 2020 / Emily G. / Leave a comment

I have been obsessed with a recipe for Jalapeno Cheddar Burgers that are part of my Core De Force eating plan. The burger form of this recipe is SUPER tasty and easy to make but I found myself cutting up the leftover burgers and mixing them with additional veggies and rice which was also SUPER … Continue reading Jalapeno Cheddar Beef Chop Suey

Butternut Squash Beef Stew

November 11, 2015 / Emily G. / Leave a comment

The days are shorter and the weather is colder. Doesn't that make you just crave a warm comforting bowl of soup or stew? Although I miss the warm weather, the fall is my favorite season for cooking (and fashion). I love all of the seasonal ingredients such as pumpkin, butternut squash, apples, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes … Continue reading Butternut Squash Beef Stew

I buy this @traderjoes rosemary nut mix every year but it inspired me to try something new with it tonight…and gave me an excuse to break out my @kitchenaidusa pasta press 😍 Chicken air fried in the @ninjakitchen foodi
Sous vide is my favorite way to cook pork and steaks, especially since I don’t have a grill 🥩 Looks super fancy but actually is super easy and never overcooks the meat 👌🏻 A quick sear in the cast iron (or a few minutes under the broiler) always finishes it with the perfect sear too! I use the @anovaculinary sous vide and I love the app which connects via Bluetooth to easily keep my eye on temperature and cook time.
75 and sunny in Boston today (in November!!) so not quite soup weather 😎 But once the temp drops I will wish I had a bowl of this #wontonnoodlesoup from Noodles in the @bellagio hotel 🍜
If you find yourself at @junesallday I highly suggest you get the Couscous with Caponata + Sumac Yogurt…and don’t forget to add the shrimp kebab. Or the grilled lamb. Or the vegetable skewer. All = 🤩
Weeks later and I’m still wishing I could have @carbone_lv spicy rigatoni all over again 😍
The trick to creamy chicken noodle soup without using actual cream? Sauté your vegetables and once tender add some flour. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes then add chicken broth. Bring to a boil then turn to a simmer. Add cooked chicken, uncooked noodles of choice, and milk (I used almond) and simmer for 10 minutes, or until noodles are cooked and soup has slightly thickened 🍲😍 I adapted a recipe from @sallysbakeblog omitting the potatoes but this filling dinner is approx 200 calories per one cup serving and packed full of protein 👌🏻
