Blueberry Pie

May 11, 2020May 11, 2020 / Emily G. / Leave a comment

I have put off attempting to make pie for a while because I was nervous about making the crust. I love to cook but with cooking I don't always have to be exact in my measurements and and there is room make substitutions. Baking is a different story. My extent of baking was my chocolate … Continue reading Blueberry Pie

November 30, 2016 / Emily G. / 2 Comments

The holiday season is upon us! After stuffing ourselves full of turkey, potatoes, and pumpkin pie you would think we would never want to eat again!! But as December approaches so do the holiday parties, cookie swaps, office celebrations, and pot lucks. Everything surrounding the holidays seems to revolve around food I wanted to put … Continue reading 10 Healthy Holiday Treats

Healthy Chocolate Pudding

November 17, 2016 / Emily G. / Leave a comment

I am the girl who will pick savory over sweet pretty much any day of the week. I rather have spaghetti and meatballs over an ice cream sundae but occasionally the craving for something sweet and chocolaty will hit. And when it hits, it hits HARD. If it's a special occasion I will bake up a … Continue reading Healthy Chocolate Pudding

Kate was our host and welcomed us into her brand new home with a delicious sparkling grapefruit cocktail. We had so much fun eating, taking photos, and catching up on what everyone … Continue reading Adult Dunkaroos

This was one of the easiest recipes I have made and one of the only Passover desserts I actually enjoy. Nutella Stuffed Funfetti Cookies

February 12, 2013 / Emily G. / 2 Comments

We got 20+ inches of snow this weekend... ...so this happened. If you love Funfetti cake I think you will be obsessed with the cookies! Sometimes the recipe is on the box but not always. If it's not on yours just go here. That is the original Funfetti cookie recipe that I normally top with … Continue reading Nutella Stuffed Funfetti Cookies

Brown Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

February 6, 2013 / Emily G. / 1 Comment

I've had this recipe pinned from How Sweet It Is for some time now. I pinned it so I  could try my hand at brown butter. With the help of Jessica's step by step instructions browning the butter was an easy task and gave the cookies such a depth of flavor. While I am usually a straight forward chocolate chip … Continue reading Brown Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

I found this pin on Pinterest and knew I had to make immediately! So as a treat for my roommate and my friend Jaime I whipped these up the other night! First of all, they are BEYOND easy to make. Second of all, they are DELICIOUS! However, next time I make them I will use my own … Continue reading Chocolate Chip Cookie S’mores Bars

Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

December 26, 2011December 14, 2020 / Emily G. / 1 Comment

I don't have much to say about this one. Eating a homemade chocolate chip cookie right after it comes out of the oven is pretty sweet. After many attempts I am proud to share this recipe because I personally think it is perfected. Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies Prep Time: 15 minutesCook Time: 10 minutes Ingredients … Continue reading Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

I buy this @traderjoes rosemary nut mix every year but it inspired me to try something new with it tonight…and gave me an excuse to break out my @kitchenaidusa pasta press 😍 Chicken air fried in the @ninjakitchen foodi
Sous vide is my favorite way to cook pork and steaks, especially since I don’t have a grill 🥩 Looks super fancy but actually is super easy and never overcooks the meat 👌🏻 A quick sear in the cast iron (or a few minutes under the broiler) always finishes it with the perfect sear too! I use the @anovaculinary sous vide and I love the app which connects via Bluetooth to easily keep my eye on temperature and cook time.
75 and sunny in Boston today (in November!!) so not quite soup weather 😎 But once the temp drops I will wish I had a bowl of this #wontonnoodlesoup from Noodles in the @bellagio hotel 🍜
If you find yourself at @junesallday I highly suggest you get the Couscous with Caponata + Sumac Yogurt…and don’t forget to add the shrimp kebab. Or the grilled lamb. Or the vegetable skewer. All = 🤩
Weeks later and I’m still wishing I could have @carbone_lv spicy rigatoni all over again 😍
The trick to creamy chicken noodle soup without using actual cream? Sauté your vegetables and once tender add some flour. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes then add chicken broth. Bring to a boil then turn to a simmer. Add cooked chicken, uncooked noodles of choice, and milk (I used almond) and simmer for 10 minutes, or until noodles are cooked and soup has slightly thickened 🍲😍 I adapted a recipe from @sallysbakeblog omitting the potatoes but this filling dinner is approx 200 calories per one cup serving and packed full of protein 👌🏻
