Blueberry Pie

May 11, 2020May 11, 2020 / Emily G. / Leave a comment

I have put off attempting to make pie for a while because I was nervous about making the crust. I love to cook but with cooking I don't always have to be exact in my measurements and and there is room make substitutions. Baking is a different story. My extent of baking was my chocolate … Continue reading Blueberry Pie

This past weekend I got together with some fellow bloggers in Scituate, MA for a Dips and Drinks party! Such a fun theme right? Kate was our host and welcomed us into her brand new home with a delicious sparkling grapefruit cocktail. We had so much fun eating, taking photos, and catching up on what everyone … Continue reading Adult Dunkaroos

Last winter I was invited to Sweet Cupcakes to check out their newly debuted winter cupcake flavors. Taste testing cupcakes was so much fun and I was thrilled when Spring finally sprung in Boston and I got asked back for a second round! All of Sweet's cupcakes are baked fresh daily with fun and original flavors … Continue reading A Taste of Spring at Sweet Cupcakes

Whipped Feta

November 11, 2013 / Emily G. / 1 Comment

I had whipped feta for the first time when dining at Tavern Road in Boston's Fort Point District. Not being a huge feta fan I wasn't sure if I would like it, but man was I wrong. I LOVED IT! It was so light and I loved the drizzled honey on top. I knew I had … Continue reading Whipped Feta

Arrives in Chicago, immediately heads to @rpmitalian 😍🦞🍝🍸
I buy this @traderjoes rosemary nut mix every year but it inspired me to try something new with it tonight…and gave me an excuse to break out my @kitchenaidusa pasta press 😍 Chicken air fried in the @ninjakitchen foodi
Sous vide is my favorite way to cook pork and steaks, especially since I don’t have a grill 🥩 Looks super fancy but actually is super easy and never overcooks the meat 👌🏻 A quick sear in the cast iron (or a few minutes under the broiler) always finishes it with the perfect sear too! I use the @anovaculinary sous vide and I love the app which connects via Bluetooth to easily keep my eye on temperature and cook time.
75 and sunny in Boston today (in November!!) so not quite soup weather 😎 But once the temp drops I will wish I had a bowl of this #wontonnoodlesoup from Noodles in the @bellagio hotel 🍜
If you find yourself at @junesallday I highly suggest you get the Couscous with Caponata + Sumac Yogurt…and don’t forget to add the shrimp kebab. Or the grilled lamb. Or the vegetable skewer. All = 🤩
Weeks later and I’m still wishing I could have @carbone_lv spicy rigatoni all over again 😍
The trick to creamy chicken noodle soup without using actual cream? Sauté your vegetables and once tender add some flour. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes then add chicken broth. Bring to a boil then turn to a simmer. Add cooked chicken, uncooked noodles of choice, and milk (I used almond) and simmer for 10 minutes, or until noodles are cooked and soup has slightly thickened 🍲😍 I adapted a recipe from @sallysbakeblog omitting the potatoes but this filling dinner is approx 200 calories per one cup serving and packed full of protein 👌🏻
